About Us

The Knox County District Attorney General’s Office represents the State of Tennessee in all criminal cases that occur within Knox County. Upon taking office in 2014, District Attorney General Charme Allen created the Office’s first Community Affairs Unit, providing a direct link between the District Attorney’s Office and the citizens of Knox County through outreach, education, and collaborative partnerships. The Unit works to build trust between communities, and, ultimately, prevent crime at its source. Do the Write Thing is just one of the Unit’s many programs.
