Volunteer: Receptionist during Board MeetingsThe Joy of Music School holds Board Meetings from noon to 1pm on the third Wednesday of every other month throughout the calendar year. Our first meeting of 2026 will be on Wednesday, January 21st. We are looking for a volunteer receptionist to answer phones and let visitors in to the school during those six meetings. It is a light duty position. Volunteer: Volunteer music teacherThe Joy of Music School is in need of qualified music teachers to teach a weekly lesson for a minimum of one academic school year. Our primary needs are piano, violin, guitar, and percussion teachers who are available Monday through Friday from 4pm to 7pm. All applicants are required to come to the school for an interview, submit to a background check, and attend a mandatory orientation/training session. Share your knowledge and passion for music with financially disadvantaged, at-risk youth. Form meaningful connections with your students and help foster a supportive and encouraging environment where they can thrive.
