Volunteer: Healthy Cooking Class Volunteer

Little Chefs, Big Change is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Cooking Class Volunteers to join our mission-driven team. During a typical class, you might:

Assist the lead instructor, including helping with demonstrations, monitoring cooking stations, and addressing any issues that arise. Help set up the cooking stations and assist in cleaning and organizing the cooking area after each class. Encourage students to participate actively in the cooking process, helping them feel comfortable and excited about learning. Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure that students handle kitchen equipment and ingredients safely. Assist students in preparing ingredients, which may include washing, chopping, and measuring. Encourage students to explore new plant-based ingredients and recipes. Foster a sense of teamwork and cooperation among the students. Set a positive example for students in terms of attitude, enthusiasm, and respect for others. Be prepared to adapt to changing situations and assist with various tasks as needed.
