Volunteer: Volunteer Opportunities at ReLAUNCH Day Space

ReLAUNCH is seeking compassionate volunteers, ages 18 and older, to help serve our unhoused neighbors at the Day Space located under the I-40 overpass on North Broadway. 

Every day, our team works to provide essential services and support to individuals experiencing homelessness, and volunteers play a critical role in making that possible.

Volunteer Responsibilities

Volunteer duties vary based on the needs of the Day Space and may include: 

Assisting with meal service: Breakfast: 9:00 a.m. Lunch: 1:30 p.m. Picking up trash and helping maintain a clean environment Cleaning and restocking porta potties Sorting donated clothing and supplies in the supply van Assisting with the distribution of clothing and other donated itemsAssisting with the Shower Trailer

Performing other tasks as directed by the Site Supervisor

Volunteer Shift Times

The following volunteer shifts are available: 

8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Before You Volunteer All volunteers must complete a liability waiver prior to serving. Please follow this link to submit your waiver. 

If you are volunteering as a team, please use the Team button. Minimum Team size is 2 people, maximum is 4 people. If you have more than 5 people in your team, please select multiple shifts.

Location, Parking and Arrival

ReLAUNCH currently operates from the Day Space under the I-40 overpass on North Broadway.  Parking is available in the Broadway section of the Day Space. When you arrive, please call us, and a ReLAUNCH staff member will open the gate for you.

Because the Day Space does not have a physical street address, please refer to the map provided for directions.

What Should I Wear?

For your safety and comfort, please wear: 

Closed-toe shoes (required) No sandals or flip-flops Long pants, jeans, or sweatpants are preferred Shorts are acceptable during hot weather

Please dress comfortably and appropriately for an outdoor environment where you may be walking, lifting, and assisting with various tasks. 

What to Expect

The Day Space serves individuals facing significant challenges, including homelessness, mental health concerns, and substance use disorders. While many interactions are positive and rewarding, volunteers may occasionally witness difficult situations, including behavioral health crises, active substance use, or medical emergencies such as overdoses. 

We share this information not to discourage anyone from volunteering, but to ensure that all volunteers understand the environment and arrive prepared for the realities of this important work. 

Our staff is present to provide guidance and support throughout your shift, and your willingness to serve can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.
