The Southern Skies Music & Whiskey Festival is Saturday, May 10, 2025 at the World’s Fair Park in Knoxville, TN. This event is produced by Dogwood Arts and curated by the Dirty Guv’nahs. Dogwood Arts has a 68-year history of arts advocacy, environmental stewardship, and economic impact in East Tennessee.
With the help of volunteers, like YOU, we will have an awesome festival! Volunteers help in many assorted ways, including, but not limited to: set up, ticket sales, bartending, gate checks, ID checks, etc. We simply could not do this festival without the support and help of our volunteers. For every shift a volunteer completes, they will receive a free volunteer t-shirt.
Some notes:
- All shifts on Friday are set up for the festival. You need to be able to lift at least 20 lbs and stand up for long periods of time. The Friday shifts are more physically demanding so if you have mobility issues, please be aware.
- This festival is held outside, rain or shine. Please dress in layers and bring a jacket.
- There is a lot of walking and/or standing with most of the volunteer positions. Please wear comfortable shoes. Most of the ground is grass and can be uneven at times. If you need a position where you can sit down, we do have a few of those, but please notate that when you are signing up so we can be prepared.
- This is a music festival. It will be loud at times. If you know you will need ear plugs, then please come prepared.
- We suggest you bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. There will be a free filtered water station at the festival that can be used to refill the water bottle.
