Support East Tennessee Kidney Foundation at the Luck Kidney Run & Knox Shamrock Fest!
Volunteers will pre-pour water into small cups for racers passing by, stand near the course so you can easily hand the cups to the runners without having to slow them down or approach the water table. Volunteers will also pick up trash cups from the ground, ensure all trash is cleaned up, and cheer on participants as they go by.

Why Lucky “Kidney” Run?
Did you know that 1 in 7 Americans has kidney disease? That’s 30 million people! However, 96% of those with early kidney disease (stages 1 and 2) don’t even know they have CKD. And of those with severely reduced kidney function, (stage 4) but not on dialysis, 48%, are not aware of having the disease. That’s why we at the East Tennessee Kidney Foundation host the annual Lucky Kidney Run and Knox Shamrock Fest, to bring awareness of this “silent” disease and educate the community about its risk factors, symptoms, and prevention.
