The Regional Intervention Program (RIP) is a 12-14 week behavior modification program for children ages 2 - 6. The program is designed to simultaneously decrease the child's unwanted behaviors while strengthening social skills and empowering parents to set developmentally appropriate limits and consequences for their child.
RIP volunteers are needed on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays 5pm-8pm.
Volunteer tasks can include:
- Greeting children and parents upon arrival to the center
- Preparing snacks for children and assist staff in serving and cleaning up.
- Assisting staff and children in group activities, as well as set up and clean up
- Assisting staff in monitoring children in the classroom
- Assisting staff in data collection as directed.
Volunteers must commit to a minimum of 6 months to the volunteer program and must be at least 18 years of age. Volunteers must enjoy and be at ease working with children who have emotional and behavioral difficulties.
