The Global Asias Community Day is a celebration of Asian arts and culture in connection with the exhibition Global Asias: Contemporary Asian and Asian American Art from the Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation which is on display at the KMA January 24-April 24, 2022.
This free event will feature workshops and performances by members of Knoxville’s Asian community. Visitors of all ages will learn about the history of the Japanese tea ceremony, watch artist demonstrations, and participate in hands-on art-making.
We are recruiting volunteers to mainly help with art activity tables during the event.
You MUST complete and return an application before you will be confirmed to volunteer at the KMA. Please use the attached application, or contact Chelsea Lloyd at clloyd@knoxart.org for an emailed version.
We are looking for volunteers to stay for the entire event (10:30am-3:30pm) but shorter shifts are available if the entire event is too much for your schedule.
Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon!
