This is an exciting opportunity to help Seven Islands State Birding Park finally remove an old landfill that was on the property before it became a Tennessee State Park. Volunteers will remain on land, helping to collect household debris and waste (most of it decades old) while State Park Rangers lower the collected trash on a slack line off of a bluff into our boats waiting on the French Broad River below! Come join us as we clean this breathtaking wildlife habitat.
Volunteers should plan on meeting Ranger Stephanie at the boat launch off of Kelly Lane at 10:00am for a safety briefing and instructions. Please bring bottled water, closed-toe shoes, and insect repellant.
