The Salvation Army of Knoxville is looking for volunteers to help at our reception desk and to assist with various clerical tasks.
The person(s) who help with this will:
- answer the phone,
- respond to basic questions,
- greet visitors,
- direct people to the appropriate locations, and
- assist with basic clerical tasks as able.
Help is needed on Mondays and Fridays from 1 pm to 4 pm, however we can adjust that schedule slightly to fit your schedule if needed. This is a great volunteer spot for college students, recent retirees, stay-at-home parents looking to get out of the house, etc.
Because we must train volunteers on certain tasks, we prefer someone who can be here consistently - for example: every Monday from 12:30-3:30, or every Friday from 1-3.
