You'll keep the cocktail area welcoming and tidy as the evening gets underway, then transition to the dining space to help set out plates and ensure a smooth, gracious start to dinner. It's a role that requires attentiveness and a genuine desire to serve, and the satisfaction of seeing guests settle in comfortably for a beautiful evening is very much its own reward.
