The Vine Volunteer Collective is calling on individuals to step up and support our students in the classroom! Whether you can work directly with students during math class or help prepare classroom materials outside of student hours, your time and energy are needed!
Opportunity Details:
WHEN: Ongoing — flexible hours available 12:00-3:30 (most needed during 1:30 PM – 2:27 PM)
WHERE: Vine Middle Magnet School, 1807 Martin Luther King Jr Ave, Knoxville, TN 37915
WHAT: Provide consistent, hands-on support for our 7th grade math classroom. Volunteers will help reinforce learning by working with students one-on-one or in small groups. If you’re available outside of classroom time, we’d also appreciate help preparing materials — printing, stapling, laminating, and organizing items that support instruction.
VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS:

Must have prior experience working with students.

Must be comfortable serving in a classroom support role under teacher direction.

Must sign a confidentiality statement with Kyle Pickell, Community School Coordinator.
VOLUNTEER ROLES NEEDED:
- 7th Grade Math Classroom Support (1:30 PM – 2:27 PM): Work directly with students to build confidence and strengthen skills.
- Classroom Prep & Organization (flexible timing): Assist with printing, stapling, laminating, and organizing classroom materials.
- Consistent Presence: While any availability helps, coming on a regular day and time makes the biggest impact by building relationships with students and creating a familiar, supportive presence in the classroom.
