Vine Middle Magnet School is getting a new outdoor classroom area! With a campus that has multiple native plantings and a vegetable garden, Vine teachers and students want to take their learning outdoors.
During this volunteer day, we will be preparing the area to be developed and planted by removing grass and landscape fabric and putting down cardboard and mulch, as well as mulching some of the other areas on campus. Please make sure to wear clothes you can get dirty and closed-toe shoes.
WHEN: Saturday, February 28th. 9:00a-12:00p
WHERE: 1807 Martin Luther King Junior Avenue, Knoxville, Tennessee. You can park along Martin Luther King Jr Ave or in the parking lot that is accessible from Harriet Tubman Street.
We will meet at the front of the school. Unfortunately, we will not have bathrooms available on-site, so please plan accordingly.
