Volunteers are needed to help the residents of Cocke County recover from Hurricane Helene.
Work includes but not limited to:
- Debris clean up
- Tree/limb removal
- Receive, distribute and organize donated goods
What Volunteers Need to Know:
- All volunteers must have their transportation
- Volunteers should dress in long pants and sturdy boots or shoes
- Bring PPE (masks, work gloves, protective eyewear)
- Assignments/directions will be given at check-in at the Volunteer Reception Center located at - 1190 Old Asheville Highway, Newport, TN 37821
- No children under the age of 12; children ages 12-15 must be accompanied by an adult
Donated Items:
- If you would like to bring donated items to your volunteer shift, the following are currently needed:
- Flat Shovels
- Pry Bars
- Lumber
- Ply wood
