Cocke County: Disaster Relief - Chainsaw and Heavy Machinery Work

Description

Volunteers are needed to help the residents of Cocke County recover from Hurricane Helene.

Work includes but not limited to:

  • Debris clean up
  • Tree/limb removal

Volunteers should bring their tools, chainsaws, skid steer, and bulldozer 

What Volunteers Need to Know:

  • All volunteers must have their transportation
  • Volunteers should dress in long pants and sturdy boots
  • Bring PPE (masks, work gloves, protective eyewear)
  • Assignments/directions will be given at check-in at the Volunteer Reception Center located at Wonderfully Made Coffee & More - 2591 Cosby Highway, Newport, TN
  • No children under the age of 16

Donated Items:

  • If you would like to bring donated items to your volunteer shift, the following are currently needed:
    • Flat Shovels
    • Pry Bars
    • Lumber
    • Ply wood
