Volunteer: Hands on Service Project @ Vine Middle: Friday, Nov. 7thThe Vine Volunteer Collective is looking for a few extra hands to help us refresh and reorganize two important spaces at Vine Middle — our Community Care Closet and Staff Supply Room! These spaces support our students, families, and teachers every day, but they’ve gotten a little cluttered and need some care. We’ll spend the afternoon sorting donations, restocking supplies, and organizing both rooms to make them more welcoming and easy to use. Event Details:WHEN: Friday, November 7th, 2025 WHERE: Vine Middle Magnet School We’ll split into two teams: Community Care Closet Crew: Sort and restock clothing, hygiene, and household items; tidy shelves; organize bins. Staff Supply Room Crew: Organize and label supplies, restock materials, and help give the space a fresh start. Some light lifting may be involved, but there will be plenty of ways to help for all ability levels. You don’t have to stay the whole time — even an hour or two makes a difference! Volunteers are welcome to come early or arrive later in the window; just let Kyle know what hours you’re available when you sign up. This collective provides practical, hands-on assistance to help meet the day-to-day needs of our school and create a supportive, uplifting environment for everyone. Whether you can help with setup, supervise meals, guide guests, or pitch in with cleanup, your time will help make the evening fun, smooth, and welcoming for everyone. Volunteers are also invited to stay for our Kwanza Celebration from 7:00 – 8:00 PM, featuring student showcases and performances. Event Details: WHEN: Tuesday, December 9th, 2025 WHERE: Vine Middle Magnet School, 1807 Martin Luther King Jr Ave, Knoxville, TN 37915 WHAT: VOLUNTEER ROLES NEEDED: Please let Kyle Pickell know what shifts you would like to support! You DO NOT have to stay for the entire event. Set-Up Crew (3:00 – 5:00 PM): Help arrange tables and chairs, set up exhibits, and assist partners in preparing their spaces. (4–5 volunteers) Student Meal Support (4:00 – 5:00 PM): Supervise the cafeteria during the student dinner, help with trash, and support staff as needed. (3 volunteers) Event Support (5:00 – 8:00 PM): Guide guests, answer questions, and help supervise the gym area or other event spaces.
