Volunteer: Bilingual Language Ambassador- NorthKnoxWell Health and Community Fair

Join us in supporting the NorthKnoxWell Community Health Fair, a free event connecting North Knoxville families with health services, community resources, and wellness opportunities. The fair will take place from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Whittle Springs Middle School.

Many of the families attending the event are Spanish-speaking, and language support will help ensure all community members feel welcomed and are able to access the resources and services available.

Bilingual Language volunteers will assist in a variety of roles, including greeting attendees, helping with community resource and health service areas, parking support, and general event support. Parking volunteers will begin at 8:30 AM, while all other volunteers should arrive by 9:00 AM.

Are you excited about technology, engineering, or coding? Whittle Springs Middle School is launching a Robotics Club, and we’re looking for a volunteer who’s ready to inspire the next generation of tech innovators!

As the Robotics Club Sponsor, you will:

Design and lead engaging, age-appropriate STEM curriculum for middle school students (fall & spring semesters)

Teach foundational concepts in robotics, coding, and engineering using hands-on projects

Help students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills

Foster a love of STEM in a student body with limited access to enrichment opportunities

Preferred Qualifications:

Background in STEM (engineering, robotics, coding, etc.)

Experience working with youth or in an instructional role

Passion for making tech accessible and fun for all learners


Time Commitment: 1–2 days per week (1-hour increments), after school hours

Volunteer Age Requirement: 18+
