Volunteer: Dogwood Elementary: PTO Weed Wrangle

Dogwood PTO will be hosting a weed wrangle in the Dogwood Elementary for the right interior courtyard on May 21st from 4 PM - 6 PM. 

There are 3 one-hour shifts, but you are welcome to stay the whole time!

Please bring work gloves and dress appropriately for pulling weeds and yard work.

Volunteer: Dogwood: 5th Grade Fun Day

Come celebrate with our Dogwood 5th graders as they wrap up the school year and prepare for their next chapter!

This is an outdoor event with all four fifth-grade classes, featuring games and fun activities. With all students gathered in one space, teachers will need extra support to help supervise and keep things running smoothly.

Please arrive early to sign in at the front office and bring a valid form of identification for check-in. After signing in, the Community Schools Coordinator or a fifth-grade teacher will greet you and provide guidance on how you can help. You will also be required to fill out paperwork prior to starting to volunteer, Baylee will go over that information with you on the day.

Be sure to wear comfortable and appropriate clothing since this is an outdoor event.

There are two 2-hour volunteer shifts available:

Morning shift: 5–10 volunteers neededAfternoon shift: 5 volunteers needed

The Bilingual Language Ambassadors program is an opportunity for volunteers to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for our diverse families at Community Schools Family Engagement Events. This program will serve as a meaningful catalyst to deepen the relationships Community Schools fosters with non-English speaking families. Our goal is to build strong long-term connections and empower families by ensuring they feel seen and heard.   We encourage students and community members to serve as Bilingual Language Ambassadors to help us grow our mission. The language(s) we are recruiting for are Spanish.
