Our Mission
AMBC’s mission is to create, develop, preserve, protect, and promote mountain biking trails and trail access, facilitate the development and maintenance of mountain bike trails on public and private land, and foster positive relationships throughout the Knoxville area.
About Us
Appalachian Mountain Bike Club (AMBC) develops, builds, and maintains trails while providing programming to increase access to outdoor recreation in the greater Knoxville area. We’re a community united by a passion for the outdoors and a mission to make adventure welcoming and accessible to everyone. AMBC is a chapter of the Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association (SORBA).
What we do:
- Develop, build, and maintain trails through our trained Trail Crew staff and volunteer Work Days.
- Advocate for better trail systems and outdoor recreation in the Southeast.
- Plan and host group rides, women’s programs, kids’ programs, and community events.
- Partner with government agencies, land managers, businesses, and the community to expand and improve Knoxville area trails.
