The Emerald Academy Learning Garden is a robust vegetable garden that is used to support curricular education, provide food for families, and is used as a community gathering space for events. With 4000 square feet of growing and gathering space, it not only has sent home over 200 pounds of produce with families this season, but it also provides habitat for native pollinators.
To keep the space functional and beautiful for students and teachers, occasional workdays are necessary. Tasks range from mulching to weeding to doing small construction or beautification projects.
