Park staff and volunteers will be cleaning up trash from the woods surrounding Mutton Hollow Landing/Boat Launch area on the other side of the French Broad River across from the island. We will be picking up old household garbage and other litter left in the woods over the years. Gloves, garbage bags, and some trash grabber tongs will be available to use, but if volunteers have their own gloves or trash grabbers that they would like to use please bring them along. Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes for this workday.
We will be meeting in the parking lot of Mutton Hollow Boat Landing/Boat Launch located at 8400 Seven Islands Rd, Knoxville, TN 37920 at 1:00 PM ET. Please be aware that this parking lot is approximately 30 minute drive from the main parking lot off of Kelly Lane, so please be sure you go to the correct location/address.
