*High Need*
Therapeutic Preschool is an Intensive Outpatient Program for children ages 4 - 6 who have experienced significant trauma. Children learn about emotions, coping skills and communication. Children are provided with a space to work through their emotions in a least restrictive environment.
Therapeutic Preschool runs Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9am-12pm.
Volunteer tasks can include:
- Greeting children and parents
- Preparing snack and assist staff in serving and clean up
- Assisting staff and children with group activities as well as set up and clean up
- Assisting staff with clerical and data collection as directed
Volunteers must commit to a minimum of 6 months to the volunteer program and must be over 21 years of age. Volunteers must enjoy and be at ease working with children who have emotional and behavioral difficulties.
