Now accepting Board Directors Applicants Our mission at Rustic Rover Rescue a nonprofit 501©3 organization, is to promote and provide humane treatment of animals through education, fostering, which includes pulling and adopting homeless animals within our partnership with Sevier County Humane Society County Animal Shelter. RRR serves the community by reducing pet population through spay/neuters, and maintaining the commitment to not euthanize healthy, adoptable animals. Any person interested in becoming a member of the Board of Directors is requested to complete an on-line Volunteer application. Board members serve 12 month terms. The Board meets quarterly. Nominating process and expectations:
1. Names of potential Board members must be residences of the state of Tennessee. Applicants may be solicited from current RRR Board members, donors, educational institutions, agencies and other community members.
2. The Board Membership Committee will review the applications and bring recommendations to the full Board for a vote. All applications must be submitted no later than March 28th 2026.
3. Applicants must agree and abide by all of RRR's bylaws; including too but not limited to pediatric spay/neuters and abide by all local animal laws and ordinances.
4. Board members will be expected to participate as a member and to participate in RRR functions during the year. Board members are expected to attend a minimum of three Board meetings each year as well as other events or volunteering, as necessary. Quarterly meetings take place at our main location in East Knoxville. This is a non-paid position, and requires a minimum of 40 hrs a year volunteering OR raise $500 in monetary donations every 12 month period.
