Amachi Knoxville, an initiative of Knoxville Leadership Foundation, is constantly looking for positive, adult mentors to walk alongside our mentees in and around Knoxville. Our program serves youth ages 4-17 with a specific emphasis on youth who have been impacted by the incarceration of a caregiver. We offer both 1:1 community-based and group site-based mentoring. Our program offers an opportunity to build a friendship and have fun with a child through mentorship. Everyone benefits from having a friend. A person we can talk to, trust, and “do life” with. This is what mentoring looks like: friendship. Think about your own life, and the presence of parents, church leaders, teachers, coaches, scout leaders, mentors etc. These key relationships in our lives influence who we become
