Description

Trick or Treat!

The Grandparents as Parents Program and the Relative Caregiver Program is hosting a Halloween Drive-thru Bash for their kiddos. If you have a heart for children raised by a grandparent or relative please come out and help us with this spooky sugar coated drive thru event!

The event will be hosted on Friday, October 30th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m at the O'Connor Senior Center. Families will drive thru and be greeted by volunteers and vendor tables. We need your help with setting up, decorating, taking pictures, and clean up.

Please feel free to wear a costume for this opportunity! For set up and breakdown volunteers, we recommend wearing a costume that will allow you to move freely or can be worn as a layer. Volunteer shifts will include:

1:00 - 4:00
Set- up tables and chairs, decorating, assisting vendors setting up, packing GAP candy bags

3:30 - 6:00
Photo Booth photographers   (in costumes but not required), Car and participant counter, helping hand out materials, assisting vendors, and directing traffic

5:30 - 6:30
Move tables and chairs back, take up extension cords, help vendors pack up cars, take down decorations.

Volunteers will need to adhere to safety policies for the COVID-19 pandemic. You will receive an email the day before the event with our health protocol. This will include submitting a temperature check, screener questions, and maintaining a minimum physical distance of 6 feet from others. Although this event is outside, volunteers will also need to wear a mask over the mouth and nose throughout the event.
