This cleanup is part of the five-part ‘Cherokee National Forest River Cleanup Series presented by Volkswagen’ put on through a grant largely funded by Volkswagen and administered by The Conservation Fund. The series includes five cleanups held throughout the month of February from Watauga Lake near Johnson City, Tenn. to the Ocoee River near Chattanooga, Tenn.
Volunteers must sign up at https://www.keeptnriverbeautiful.org/southholston and must also fill out a COVID-19 Questionnaire 24 hours before the cleanup.
