Celebrate Earth Day and National Park Week by joining in the Obed Wild and Scenic River’s annual clean up and Volunteer Appreciation event on Saturday, April 17. Participants should meet at the Obed’s Visitor Center at 208 N. North Maiden Street in Wartburg at 9 a.m. (ET). Volunteers should bring water, insect repellent, sun block and wear sturdy shoes. Bags for garbage and recycling, litter pickup sticks and gloves will be provided.
NPS staff will be following CDC guidelines and practicing social distancing during the event, and volunteers are encouraged to do so as well.
