Bring your love and expertise of Knoxville to the SERID (Southeast Regional Institute on Deafness) annual conference at the downtown Hilton hotel.
We at Visit Knoxville will provide an information table for SERID guests to explore and learn more about the city. We need you to staff the table to answer guest questions, provide recommendations, and help direct guests with visitor materials. You will be provided with everything you need - just come ready to tell everyone how #KnoxRocks!
As many attendees will be D/deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind, and/or late-deafened, an interpreter will be on-site to assist.
About SERID:
Each year, state coordinators arrange a conference to be held involving active professionals working in the field of deafness. The purpose? To bring together the greatest minds in the field to gain a greater learning for and better devise service methods to help those who are hard of hearing. SERID is seen as a way to energize professionals in the field of deafness: to provide information to consumers; inspire new approaches to service deliver, and to bring innovations to the attention of all that participate.
