Description

Get outside and get those weeds! Join the staff and other volunteers for a public volunteer workday focused on removing invasive plants from the Grayson Subaru Preserve!

Volunteers will meet at Mead's Quarry Adventure Camp and then take a short walk to the Grayson Subaru Preserve to remove non-native, invasive plants from the property that soon will become a nature playscape for children. Wear closed-toed shoes, long-sleeved shirts and pants to protect yourself from thorns and poison ivy. BRING WATER!

Please bring the following: water, appropriate clothing/footwear, and a mask if you have one (the Ijams Visitor Center has simple disposable masks if you come without one). Masks will only be necessary when we are within six feet of each other. If you are exhibiting any sign of fever or illness, do not participate in this workday. Gloves will be provided.

Meeting Spot: Mead's Quarry Parking Lot (Adventure Camp)

3518 Island Home Ave. Knoxville, TN 37920
