Unit Commissioner

1. MAIN DUTIES

• Report to District Commissioner
• Contact each assigned Unit (in person or by phone) at least 1 time per month
• Promptly and accurately record each “contact” in the online Unit Visit Tracking System
• Assist with School Talks and School Night Round-ups for their assigned Units
• Assist with the annual Unit Recharter Process for their assigned Units
• Attend monthly District Commissioner Meeting (2^nd Thursdays)
• As available – be in Scouting uniform during Unit visits (as a model to the youth and Unit leadership)

2. QUALIFICATIONS

• Have excellent people skills
• Have a Scouting background OR be a fast-track learner
• Know and practice Scouting ideals
• Attention to detail
• Willing to work in support of the District for one full calendar year
• Has regular, dependable internet access and good usage skills
