Are you interested in volunteering for the 2023 Tour de Lights? Bike Walk Knoxville and Visit Knoxville are currently looking for folks to help out with the event! Volunteers will be involved before, during, and after this fun, family-friendly holiday ride.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Ride Marshals
Volunteer Ride Marshals will encourage safe behavior and provide support along the ride, and may also provide basic assistance to riders who experience bike problems and perform the role of first responders at accident scenes along the ride route. Ride Marshals should be experienced with riding in a group and familiar with responding to basic bike maintenance and medical needs. Ride Marshals will need to arrive at Mary Costa Plaza by 4:45 pm on Saturday, December 9th.
Event Start Assistants
Volunteers are needed to help ensure that everything runs smoothly as the event is being set up at Mary Costa Plaza. This will include helping riders stage at the starting line in an organized manner, directing participants to bike check-ups, and other tasks as needed. Event Start Assistants will need to arrive at Mary Costa Plaza by 3:15 pm on Saturday, December 9th.
Event End Assistants
Volunteers are needed to help ensure that everything runs smoothly as the event is ending in Mary Costa Plaza. This will include directing riders to photo opportunities and other tasks as needed. Event End Assistants will need to arrive at the event stage in Mary Costa Plaza by 5:45 pm on Saturday, December 9th.
