The Site Steering Committee is the backbone of our Community School, embodying the principles of shared governance and collaborative decision-making. Comprising a diverse group of stakeholders, including caregivers, staff, community members, and students, the committee plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our school and community. Responsibilities of Committee Members include:
- Reviewing Data: Evaluate school and community-based data to inform decision-making processes.
- Setting Priorities: Use data analysis to identify focus areas and determine the priorities for our school community.
- Leveraging Resources: Harness our collective assets and resources to develop targeted solutions.
- Engaging Stakeholders: Actively involve and communicate with caregivers, students, staff, and community members to gather input and feedback, ensuring that our decisions reflect the needs and aspirations of the entire community.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Continuously assess the effectiveness of implemented strategies and programs, adjusting as necessary to ensure we are meeting our goals and improving student outcomes and Community wellness.
Meetings take place in the Vine Middle Library (second floor) on the second Mondays of the month from 4:30p-6:00p. You can park on MLK and then enter into the front office.
