A Step Ahead Foundation of East Tennessee (ASAFET) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and families by providing free, accessible, and easily reversible birth control to anyone who lives, works, or studies in our 16-county service area. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to make informed decisions about their reproductive health, free from financial, cultural, or logistical barriers.

Since 2017, ASAFET has connected thousands of individuals with vital contraceptive services, helping to reduce unplanned pregnancies and open doors to brighter futures. Our mission goes beyond providing contraception—we strive to create a supportive, inclusive environment where everyone can access the healthcare and education they need to thrive.
