Are you passionate about women’s health equity and committed to making a lasting impact in East Tennessee? A Step Ahead Foundation of East Tennessee (ASAFET) is seeking dynamic individuals to join our Board of Directors.
As a board member, you’ll play a vital role in advancing our mission to provide free, preventive, reversible contraception and reproductive health education to individuals across 16 counties in East Tennessee. Together, we’re working to reduce barriers to contraceptive access, improve health outcomes, and create economic and educational opportunities for all.

- Bring Fundraising Expertise: Help us grow our resources and maximize our impact by leveraging your skills in fundraising, donor cultivation, and development strategy.

What Does It Mean to Be a Board Member?
- Time Commitment: Approximately 5-10 hours per month, including monthly board meetings (2nd Tuesday of the month).
- Engagement: Actively participate in at least one board committee and fundraising efforts.
- Impact: Advocate for ASAFET’s mission, assist with membership development, and educate the community about our work.
- Support: Make an annual financial contribution commensurate with your ability.As a board member, you’ll contribute to strategic decision-making, ensure the sustainability of our programs, and make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and families across East Tennessee.
